We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager at our Lenexa office. The ideal candidate will report to our Corporate Controller, lead day-to-day processes within the Accounting Department, and prepare financial and sales reporting, including data analysis. The candidate will also lead the implementation and training of NetSuite enterprise software throughout all accounting and reporting processes. Responsibilities include developing and documenting new processes utilizing technology related to job costing and customer relationships to assist with the company’s growth strategies and utilizing Power BI to generate easily accessible reporting.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and determine credit terms with potential new customers
- Manage/reconcile monthly sales and use tax reporting (multiple states)
- Assist with the management of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Inventory processes
- Manage monthly expense reporting and analysis functions
- Manage monthly commission reporting for sales teams
- Manage quarterly commission payout process
- Assist in preparing and evaluating annual expense and sales budgets
- Bank reconciliation, third-party payroll accounting, expense reimbursement accounting, payables process, and monthly financial reporting
- Assist in the development of a job costing process and manage the implementation
Education and Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate degree with accounting and/or finance major
- Highly proficient with:
- NetSuite
- All Microsoft Products including but not limited to Advanced Excel, Access, PowerPoint and PowerBI
- SQL
- Demonstrated success in leading process improvement initiatives, utilizing technology to reduce overhead costs and provide improved reporting and processes for internal and external customers
- Solid comprehension of financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and accounting systems are required
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
