The Kansas City Current’s CPKC Stadium is a groundbreaking achievement as the first stadium purposely built for a women’s professional sports team. Located in Berkley Riverfront Park in downtown Kansas City, the venue spans seven acres along the Missouri River and represents a $117 million investment.
With a seating capacity of 11,500, the stadium features premium amenities including pitch-side seating, the Bunker Club, luxury suites, a dedicated fan section with safe-standing rails, community plaza spaces, and a technologically advanced pitch with integrated heating and cooling systems.
Jorban-Riscoe partnered with Henderson Engineers to source and supply HVAC equipment tailored to the stadium’s design. Products from Greenheck, Price Industries, and several other manufacturers—such as duct heaters, VAV boxes, and exhaust fans—were installed to meet the project’s performance and sustainability goals.
In collaboration with mechanical contractor Temp-Con and general contractor JE Dunn, Jorban-Riscoe provided comprehensive HVAC solutions to support the stadium’s infrastructure and ensure optimal climate control throughout the venue.
Every seat in CPKC Stadium is within 100 feet of the pitch, creating an intimate and immersive experience for fans. Premium suites are strategically located close to the field and feature private, climate-controlled lounges for an elevated game-day experience.
The stadium officially opened for the KC Current’s home opener on March 16, 2024.
